Spies Hecker has been developing paint technologies since 1882 and, for many decades now, has ranked among the world's leading suppliers of products for automobile, commercial vehicle and industrial finishing.
In 1985, Spies Hecker entered the Australian Market. Since introduction, it has quickly become one of the most important suppliers to the Australian industry through a comprehensive product and service offering. Spies Hecker has also played an important role in assisting Bodyshops in improving and maintaining their quality of workmanship, management skills and profitability through local initiatives.
In 2001, Spies Hecker was acquired by Dupont Performance Coatings (DPC), a division of DuPont. While Head Office facilities and manufacturing are located in Sydney's North West, Spies Hecker is represented in all states of Australia and New Zealand and well supported through an extensive network of distributors.
